In addition to direct clinical services to patients, the IOL supports and augments its clinical excellence through research at the Olin Neuropsychiatry Research Center; the Anxiety Disorders Center/Center for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); The Braceland Center for Memory and Aging; and The Burlingame Center for Psychiatric Research and Education.
The IOL is a leader in advocacy and support for patients, their families, and the community at large, with services through its Family Resource Center and ACCESS Mental Health CT, as well as educational efforts, including client and family support and education events, Stop the Stigma CT, and the National Dialogue on Mental Health.
The IOL serves as a training hub for future behavioral health professionals, with medical residency programs in general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. Internship and postdoctoral programs are also available in the fields of psychology, social work, nursing, and rehabilitation.
