Before You Arrive 

Hartford HealthCare is committed to making your stay go as smoothly as possible by preparing even before your arrival. 

Admitting

A case coordinator will be assigned to you, the patient, and his or her role is to assist with any discharge planning needs you may have. He or she will met with you within 48 hours of your admission.

Support Person Policy

Patients with disabilities who receive care at a Hartford HealthCare hospital may have a designated support person present with them to support their disability needs.

Going Home

You may require skilled healthcare when you are discharged from the hospital. That care may be provided at a rehabilitation facility or at home with nursing services from a home care agency. 

Advance Directives

You have the right to make health care decisions about the medical care you receive. If you do not want certain treatments, you have the right to tell your physician you do not want them and have your wishes followed.

Billing & Insurance

As a courtesy to our patients, Hartford Hospital submits bills to your insurance company and will do everything possible to advance your claim.
