Our Neurosciences/Neuro-Vascular Critical Care Unit is located on the 9th floor of the North Building at Hartford Hospital.
This is an 18 bed ICU staffed by neurointensivists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, residents, certified neuro-critical care nurses, respiratory therapists, nurse case coordinators, social workers, as well as other various support staff. Patients receive exceptional care utilizing the most modern neuro monitoring techniques.
Our step-down unit allows for continued close critical care monitoring for patients’ who do not need a critical care unit. The nurses have specialized training.
