  • From the home page select "Find a Hospital".
  • From the subsequent pages you have various search options available to you. You can search by specific conditions or procedures for a particular hospital, or various hospitals in your area. Search results include Hospital Process of Care Measures, Hospital Outcome of Care Measures (where available), a Survey of Patients' Hospital Experiences and Medicare Payment and Volume for Selected Medical Conditions or Surgical Procedures.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services​​

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is the agency within the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) that administers the Medicare and Medicaid programs. The Quality of Care Center website provides information about various CMS quality initiatives.


The Joint Commission

An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission accredits and certifies more than 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.


 

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) is a not-for-profit organization leading the improvement of health care throughout the world. IHI was founded in 1991 and is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.


 

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) is the health services research arm of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), complementing the biomedical research mission of its sister agency, the National Institutes of Health. AHRQ is a home to research centers that specialize in major areas of health care research such as quality improvement and patient safety, outcomes and effectiveness of care, clinical practice and technology assessment, and health care organization and delivery systems.


 

The National Quality Forum (NQF)

The National Quality Forum (NQF) is a not-for-profit membership organization created to develop and implement a national strategy for health care quality measurement and reporting. A shared sense of urgency about the impact of health care quality on patient outcomes, workforce productivity, and health care costs prompted leaders in the public and private sectors to create the NQF as a mechanism to bring about national change.


 

The Leapfrog Group

The Leapfrog Group is a voluntary program aimed at mobilizing employer purchasing power to alert America’s health industry that big leaps in health care safety, quality and customer value will be recognized and rewarded. Among other initiatives, Leapfrog works with its employer members to encourage transparency and easy access to health care information as well as rewards for hospitals that have a proven record of high quality care.
