The life expectancy of people with CF has increased dramatically, and adults face new issues and challenges that require the expertise of adult-trained multi-disciplinary care team members. Our mission is to provide compassionate, responsive, collaborative care for people living with cystic fibrosis.
The Marie and Raymond Beauregard (MRB) Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center is a CF Foundation-accredited care center following evidence-based practice and CF Foundation guidelines, including guidelines for infection control, regular quarterly visits, annual required testing, and recommended mental health screening. The CF clinic offers a combination of virtual and in-person visits, inpatient care is provided at Hartford Hospital.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For urgent medical concerns or if you are sick:
Call the Hartford HealthCare Medical Group (HHC MG) Pulmonary Division at 860.524.4550.
Follow the prompts to leave a message for Dr. Pope’s medical assistant. Regular office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
If you call before or after hours, the answering service will contact the provider on call to assist you.
For routine medical questions and home IVs:
Call HHC MG at 860.524.4550. Clearly state your question or request and make sure to provide your name and telephone number. Your call should be returned within 48 hours.
For NON-URGENT matters, please call or send a message via MyChart or email to any of the staff (email addresses are in the same format: firstname.lastname@hhchealth.org)
MyChart message responses will be returned within 3 business days.
For medication refills:

To make an appointment:
Call the CF Clinic main line at 860.972.4644 and listen to the prompts to make an appointment.
Location:
The CF clinic is located on the 4th floor of the Brownstone Building at 79 Retreat Avenue in Hartford, CT. Please enter the building from the ramp in the parking lot of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center. Map/Directions
Parking:
Free valet service is available Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the entrance to the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center. The CF clinic will provide you with a free parking pass upon request.
You may also self-park at the Retreat Avenue Garage on 100 Retreat Avenue, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there is metered parking on Retreat Avenue.

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CLINIC VISIT:
- If you become sick 5 days or less before your clinic visit with:
- A fever
- A positive test for any respiratory virus (RSV, flu, COVID)
- Any new upper respiratory symptoms such as cough, congestion
- OR -
- If you have had direct exposure to any respiratory virus within 5 days of your in-person visit
PLEASE CONTACT THE CLINIC for advisement, as you may need to be seen virtually or rescheduled.
- Please review our Standards of Care
- To help maintain infection control please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time to check in.
- Please call if you are running late. If you arrive 15 minutes late or more, we will need to reschedule your visit.
- Make sure you wear a mask as you enter the building
- When you check in, please ensure that we have your correct insurance information as well as contact information (email, phone number, address)
- Name of your PCP
- List of questions/concerns
- List of your medications and if any refills are needed
- Name and phone number of an emergency contact person
- Make sure your My Chart is active
- Home spirometry data in hand or sent to clinic prior to your visit

WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR VISIT:
- Assessment by a multidisciplinary team (provider, dietitian, social worker, respiratory therapist, program coordinator)
- Access to a pharmacy liaison
- PFT testing
- Collection of sputum
- Mental health screening
- Nutrition counseling
- Respiratory education (airway clearance, home spirometry, etc)
- Review of any testing that is due (labs, chest xray, bone density, etc)
- A plan of care that works for you
- Scheduling of your next clinic appointment upon check out

The XoC is an anonymous, short survey that asks about your care experience in clinic. We want to know what you love and what you’d like to see change at your CF Center. The feedback and comments captured will let us know what is most important to you.
