Palliative care focuses on providing relief from the symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to improve quality of life for both the person and family. Your physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs are considered when planning your care.

Palliative care is appropriate at any age and any stage of illness. It can be provided along with curative treatment.

How does the Palliative Care Team work with my physicians?

The Palliative Care Team communicates regularly with your provider and other members of the healthcare team so that everyone understands the plan of care. We provide the team with information about your needs and preferences.
