Overview
Hartford Hospital nephrologists are involved in all aspects of caring for patients with kidney disease. Clinical activities occur in multiple different settings across the Hartford region including at HH, outpatient offices, outpatient and inpatient dialysis units, a dialysis access procedure center and the HH Transplant Clinic. In addition to providing direct patient care, HH nephrologists participate in medical education, conduct medical research and work on multiple quality improvement projects. Most nephrologists also have administrative/leadership positions.
There are currently 14 nephrologists and 3 advanced practice providers in our Division. All Hartford Hospital Division nephrologists offer consultative nephrology services and dialysis management. Some of the nephrologists have further specialized and do interventional nephrology or transplant nephrolog.
