The PGY1 Pharmacy Residency Program builds on the Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a diverse range of conditions.
Graduates of the residency program will be eligible for board certification and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.

Rotational Experiences
The following core rotations are required (4 weeks each):
- Orientation and Central Pharmacy Training
- Infectious Diseases
- Intensive Care Unit (ICU)*
- Neurology, Surgical, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiology or Medical
- Internal Medicine*
- Management
- Pain Management
- Research
*Residents are required to either take a second internal medicine or ICU learning experience depending on resident preference.
Elective experiences can be selected from the following categories depending upon availability (~4 weeks each) - choice of 4:
